How to Play in Superstar Mode in Madden 08

It's not easy being a superstar, unless you're playing Madden NFL 08 from EA Sports. Superstar mode has returned for another season in this football game, letting you develop a raw rookie into a Hall of Fame hero without leaving your easy chair.

Instructions

1. Import a player from EA Sports' NCAA 08, or select a player from a long list of rookies and draft choices. Remember, your choice doesn't have to be Tom Brady to make it big in the Bigs.

2. Participate in as many events as you can using the Superstar Menu. Interview draftees, put them through practice drills and have them participate in actual games mapped out on a calendar.

3. Read all of your emails, which may contain crucial information on your player's progress from agents, coaches and mentors.

4. Gain influence for your potential Hall of Famer by performing well in games and meeting goals.

5. Attend all practice sessions and perform well on the field.

6. Check the Hall of Fame Board. Those listed in the top 5 are guaranteed a spot in Canton.

7. Keep an eye on game-day performance. Great play on the field can gain influence, but this is also affected by how your teammates perform on the field. An overlay shows how much influence you've gained or lost after each play.

8. Controlling your superstar is limited only to when he's on the field. When he's off the field, you won't be able to select your own plays.

9. Earn position-specific roles by increasing your ranking in career stats, career influence, ego and other attributes. This can give you more influence over teammates, opponents and personal attributes.

10. Increase your ego by maintaining a professional attitude during interviews. Gaining points here allows you to unlock ego-specific roles.
