How to Play Madden 08 on a Computer

Although it lacks many of the new features and solid game play of the console versions, Madden NFL 08 for the PC is still a minor upgrade from older versions and guaranteed to capture the hearts of PC gaming addicts. It is a bit harder to play than the console versions, so here are a few tips.

Instructions

1. Make sure your PC meets the minimum requirements to play the game. These include any Microsoft Windows operating system (Windows 98 through Vista), at least 256MB of RAM, a DVD-ROM drive, at least a 933mhz processor, an NVIDIA GeForce 3 or ATI Radeon 8500 video card with a minimum of 64MB of memory and 2GB of available disk space.

2. Install the game following the instructions in the installation wizard. If your disk space is limited, deselect any options you don't think you need.

3. Select your gaming options as you would if you were playing the console game, including whether you want to play online, degree of difficulty and team selection.

4. Select your team, and then choose an opponent when playing against the computer, making sure you choose the CPU option for that team.

5. Keep the manual open in front of you or print out a sheet listing all of the mouse/keyboard combinations you need to know to control your players. This can be very cumbersome and sometimes confusing for those used to playing Madden on a game console.

6. Select your offensive or defensive play and you're ready to take on your opponent.
