How to Edit Education Information on Facebook

Facebook allows you to display many types of information about yourself for other Facebook members to see. One option is to include all relevant education information. This will allow old friends to track you down based on where you went to school and what year you graduated. Follow these steps to learn how to edit your education information on Facebook.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Log in. Go to the Facebook home page and log in to your Facebook account. If you don't have a Facebook account, sign up for one on the Facebook home page. The process will take just a few minutes.

  2. Step 2

    Locate the edit tab. On the top of the Facebook page, there are 4 bold menu options: Profile, Friends, Network and Inbox. Next to the Profile link, there is a link to edit your profile in regular font. Click on this link.

  3. Step 3

    Change tabs. A menu will appear with your basic profile information along with tabs for other profile options. Click on the tab for Education.

  4. Step 4

    Enter whatever education information you wish to publicize on your Facebook page. You can enter information on high school, college undergraduate and post-graduate schools and the years you attended.

  5. Step 5

    Search for your friends from your Facebook page. After you have entered your information, you can locate friends from your school simply by clicking on the school's name or the year that you graduated.
