Magnetic therapy is a form of alternative medicine. It involves subjecting certain parts of your body to magnetic fields. The belief is that the magnetism has a beneficial affect on whatever is ailing you. There is some scientific evidence to support magnetic therapy, but not much. So it's often the subject of criticism. There are magnetic necklaces, bracelets, insoles and blankets on the market, to help target your problem area.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Know how magnetic therapy works. Magnets are believed to increase blood flow and oxygen. The magnetic field widens blood vessels, allowing more blood to pass through. Toxins are taken away and the blood is better nourished.

  2. Step 2

Buy magnetic strips. You can buy them by the box, so you don't run out. They're made of a flexible material and are easy to apply.

  3. Step 3

Place magnetic strips along your forearm. This will create a healing field and get your circulation going.

  4. Step 4

Look at night time as the perfect time to help lower your blood pressure. You're at rest, so your blood pressure is already down.

  5. Step 5

Buy a magnetic mattress pad. There are several on the market. Some are made of foam and others are made of cotton. You want one that is comfortable and effective.

  6. Step 6

Sleep away your high blood pressure. The magnets are embedded in the mattress pad and placed in a balanced pattern. The magnetic field improves your circulation. Better circulation helps high blood pressure.
