The Roger Rabbit is a fun, hip-hop dance that came into popularity in the early '90s and got its name from the cartoon character by the same name. The flapping arm movements and bounciness of the dance is similar to the cartoon character's movements and is a fun dance once you master it.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Stand with your feet together. With your right foot, sweep out and step behind your left foot. Then, sweep out and behind your right foot with your left foot. Practice these moves until you have a solid rhythm down.

  2. Step 2

Move your shoulders back and forward in rhythm with your leg movements. You shoulders should move forward when you begin your sweep and then back as your foot goes behind your other foot.

  3. Step 3

Add a leg kick and arm movements once you have mastered Steps 1 and 2. Bend your arms and hold them up as if you were holding the handlebars of a bicycle. At the same time, bring the knee up of the leg that you are about to sweep with. Then put your arms back down to your sides as your leg sweeps behind.

  4. Step 4

Incorporate all the moves together for a fast-paced, hip-hop dance. Incorporate different sweeping patterns with your feet to make it even more advanced.

Tips & Warnings
  • When you're first learning to sweep your leg, make sure your non-sweeping leg is bent slightly as your other leg sweeps. This will help with your movements and rhythm as you learn and get better at the dance.
