Form a committee so you don't have to do everything by yourself. No one person can successfully raise money at a church fair. You need suggestions on what to do, how to do it and how to get the people to the fair so you can raise money for your church.

Consider all ideas that are reasonable. Some suggestions may be outrageous, but for the most part, you should get sound ideas that you can implement for the church fair.

Get estimates on the cost. If you are going to use rides, tents or other items that you will have to rent or consign for the fair, you need to find out the cost. You must consider that you will need to raise enough money to cover the costs before you will make a profit.

Look for ways to raise money that don't cost much. Sell 50-50 tickets, crafts and candy bars. Hold bingo. Arrange spaghetti dinners, bake sales and auctions. If you incorporate these into the fair, the majority of the money you raise will be mostly profit for the church.

Ask for donations. Many people don't mind donating things rather than money. You can usually have all the items donated for a bake sale or auction.

Advertise to ensure you have a successful fair. You need to get the word out to the entire community. Email, use word-of-mouth and advertise in the local paper. Perhaps the paper will donate the space or offer a discount.

Count the money. Be prepared not only to supervise the preparations but also the cleanup. As the person responsible for raising money at the church fair, you have the responsibility of every phase, including presenting the money to the church. Of course, if you are a good leader you will delegate a large portion of the work.
