The Krell Institute offers two Department of Energy Fellowships for students wishing to further their education through doctoral programs or other educational programs. If you feel like you are the right candidate for these fellowships, the following steps will guide you through the application process.

  1. Step 1

    Decide which fellowship you feel you are qualified for. The two offered are the Computational Science Graduate Fellowship and the High-Performance Computer Science Graduate Fellowship. Be sure you are a current college student majoring in either Computer Science or Computational Science. Visit the Krell Institute Website of eNotes for further details on these fellowships.

  2. Step 2

    Get in touch with the fellowship contact person with the Krell Institute. This information can also be found on the eNotes webpage describing these awards. Ask any questions you may have regarding either of these fellowships. The contacts are there to assist you during the application process.

  3. Step 3

    Go through the application process. Both fellowships require a completed application form, copies of test scores, an essay, and references from individuals who know you educationally, personally and professionally. The contact person can explain the essay requirements.
