Your proposal must be unique and special if you're asking the girl of your dreams to marry you on Valentine's Day. With so many people actually taking advantage of this day to propose to their soul mates, the idea must be romantic and meaningful at the same time. Making a romantic proposal on Valentine's Day is easy if your heart's in the right place.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Brainstorm a list of all the ways that you can think of to propose to your sweetheart on Valentine's Day. While this day is fabulous to propose, many others do it on this day as well. Bring something special to the proposal so that your girlfriend isn't just another girl who was proposed to on Valentine's Day.

  2. Step 2

Think creatively. While it's a nice touch to propose on Valentine's Day, some view it as an easy way out.

  3. Step 3

Bring your girlfriend somewhere where she has always wanted to go, but never has had the chance. Plan a mini-vacation right around the holiday to make your proposal even more special.

  4. Step 4

Buy a special bouquet of flowers that best represents your girlfriend's personality and traits. Flowers are symbolic of various traits and qualities that people have. For example, the lilac represents first love. If you and your girlfriend are high school sweethearts, this may be just the bouquet for you.

  5. Step 5

Handwrite a card to express how much you love her on Valentine's Day. While greeting card companies make fantastic Valentine's Day cards, express your very own emotions for your big proposal.
