    Instructions

    1. Making the Potholder

      • 1

Go to your local craft store and purchase a plastic loom and colorful loops.

      • 2

Choose whichever colors you want to work with. The sky is the limit as far as picking the colors. Make your potholders as colorful as you choose.

      • 3

Warp your loom by stretching the loops over the pegs from the top to the bottom.

      • 4

Cover the entire loom vertically repeating Step 3.

      • 5

Using a small weaving hook, attach a loop to the far side of the horizontal side of the loom.

      • 6

Pull the hook over the first loop and under the next until you reach the opposite side.

      • 7

Continue making the potholder by again attaching the weaving hook to the far side but this time pass the hook over and under the opposite loops from Step 6.

      • 8

Repeat Steps 5 through 7 until you have covered all the pegs on the horizontal side.

      Finishing the Potholder

      • 1

Start on one corner, pull the second loop through the first loop using the small weaving hook.

      • 2

Pull the third loop through the second loop.

      • 3

Continue Steps 1 and 2 until there is only one loop left.

      • 4

Hang the potholder with the remaining loop.
