Step 1
Research the Children's Miracle Network. It's much easier for people to donate to a cause when they understand the purpose of the charity and the work that is done with their money.
-
Step 2
Solicit funds by having a dog wash. This unique twist on the more common car wash is a big hit and a lot of fun. Wal-Marts are well known for providing hoses, water and an open space to hold such events. Contact the local store manager for permission and to set up times and dates.
-
Step 3
Hold a neighborhood bake sale. Everyone loves sweets and everyone loves to gather and socialize. Set up at a local park or in your own driveways. This is a great opportunity to provide support for the Children's Miracle Network as well as catch up with your friends and neighbors. Send notices to local television and radio stations to increase foot traffic.
-
Step 4
Organize a celebrity playoff game between two competing television stations. Charge admission rather than solicit donations. Ask a school to donate a football or basketball field and decorate with Children's Miracle Network balloons to sell as a way to bring in more money.
-
Step 5
Ask for any supplies, locations and advertisements to be donated for the cause. If you let businesses know that you're raising money for charity, you might be surprised at the response. Let everybody know who donated what. This is a great way to keep the budget low and the amount donated high.

Step 6
Sell hot dogs, hamburgers or pizza at your event. Most local grocery stores or pizza chains will donate the supplies. Food will make your even more fun and is yet another way to raise money for your charity.
