The legends say that if you build a house for a fairy and place it in the garden or oak tree that you will attract the fairies. Fairies like the little homes, made with bits and pieces of nature and oddities. Making friends with the fairies will bring you luck and joy.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Plan your house. Ensure that you can actually construct it. It can be as simple as a plain birdhouse or as complex as Neuschwanstein. While your fairy home may be whimsical, you still have the reality of putting it together.

  2. Step 2

Use wood or cardboard to make your fairy house. You can use glue or small nails to hold your basic structure together. If possible, use all-weather and waterproof glue. This will make your fairy home last longer.

  3. Step 3

Decorate your home with as many natural elements as you can. Incorporate twigs, bark, moss and dried flowers when decorating.

  4. Step 4

Assemble your fairy home on a platform. This will give it stability. It will also provide you with a surface to anchor it to your tree branch.

  5. Step 5

Add furniture to the inside of your home. Purchase dollhouse furniture, or make your own out of natural elements. Use your imagination to make chairs, tables and beds.

  6. Step 6

Attach your fairy home to the tree branch with quality nails or screws. Wooden pegs are also natural, but slightly more complicated to install.

Tips & Warnings
  • Fairies love flowers and nature. Place your fairy home in a tree that flowers or is near flowers.
