The first Sea World opened in 1964 in San Diego, but now has grown to three different locations.

From Quick Guide: Hospitality & Tourism Jobs
Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Decide at which Sea World location you would like to be a tour guide. Sea World has locations in Orlando, San Antonio and San Diego. If you don't have a preference, apply to all three.

  2. Step 2

Look on the Sea World website for job openings. You can search on Anheuser Busch's theme park website. You can search by location and what type of employment you're looking for, such as full-time, part-time or seasonal.

  3. Step 3

Take a tour of the park before you interview. Not only does this help teach you about Sea World, but you'll get an idea of what Sea World tour guides are supposed to sound like.

  4. Step 4

Work on your resume and apply for any open tour guide positions at Sea World. Include any prior experience you have at theme parks on your resume, as well as your education background.

  5. Step 5

Interview. This is where your knowledge of the park comes in handy. Study a bit about Sea World's history before your interview to really impress the interviewer.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you have the right qualifications. You will need at least a high school diploma and prior work experience in a theme park, preferably as a tour guide. If you don't have prior experience, it'd be helpful to have more education.
