Coffee is no longer a drink for the masses. It has reached a point where you almost can't get a regular plain cup of coffee anymore. Espresso is the purest most concentrated form of the bean and the variety of different ways it comes is as varied as a bartender's book of recipes. One that is especially flavorful is an Iced Caramel Macchiato.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/2 cup espresso
  • 8 oz. cold milk
  • 4 tbsp. caramel sauce
  • Vanilla syrup such as Tosani's
  • 16 oz. glass
  1. Step 1

Brew 1/2 cup of fresh espresso. The type of coffee beans that you choose will certainly vary the taste of the drink. Use your favorite.

  2. Step 2

Add 2 tbsp. of vanilla syrup to a 16 oz. glass. Fill the glass about 3/5 of the way to the top with cold milk. Add ice cubes and stir.

  3. Step 3

Pour fresh espresso slowly over the ice and try to make the mix only go half way down the glass.

  4. Step 4

Top with fresh whipped cream and drizzle about 2 to 4 tbsp. of caramel sauce over the top.

Tips & Warnings
  • Other things may be done to make it a bit special. Top the drink with shaved white chocolate, cinnamon, or powdered sugar.
