Instructions

    • 1

Move the prefab shower enclosure into the room where it will be placed. This may take some maneuvering but if this is a remodel or finishing of a basement, this should not present a problem.

    • 2

Build the support framework to attach the enclosure, before beginning to install the shower. You should frame the outside of the enclosure to give supports to the edges.

    • 3

Turn off the water supply lines.

    • 4

Run all the plumbing lines to the planned position. You will need a hot and cold water supply line and a drain line into the sewer or septic line. Make sure that all the seals are tight and secure them to the studs of the wall framing.

    • 5

Slide the enclosure into place. Secure to the framework.

    • 6

Drill holes in the enclosure to slide through the plumbing lines and assemble the faucets. Attach the drain pipe.

    • 7

Attach the outside of the enclosure to the framing studs. Run a bead of silicon caulking around all edges of the enclosure.

    • 8

Turn on the water supply and check for leaks. The enclosure is now in place and ready for you to finish the walls and other framing tasks.
