Things You'll Need:
- Knitting needles
- Yarn
- A comfortable chair with a good light
-
Step 1
Cast on 6, 12 or 18 stitches. If you want a wider piece, cast on any multiple of six stitches since the twin rib knitting pattern is worked in six stitch units.
-
Step 2
Work row one by knitting three and purling three. Repeat this knit three, purl three pattern until you reach the end of the row.
-
Step 3
Begin row 2 by purling 3 and then knitting 3. Repeat this purl 3, knit 3 pattern until you reach the end of the row.
-
Step 4
Alternate these two rows until you reach the end of your piece. This simple repetition of knitting and purling will create a lovely twin rib knitting pattern.
-
Step 5
Cast off your stitches when you have reached the desired length.
