Step 1
First thing to decide is your budget. How much can you spend on a new suit? If money is not a factor, consider visiting a tailor shop. You can get measured for a great fitting suit. If you cannot afford this option, visit a department store. Almost all department stores carry suits.
-
Step 2
Now that you know how much you can spend and where you can shop it's time to get down to business. What kind of suit do you prefer? The weather will make a difference on this decision so choose accordingly.
-
Step 3
Now that you know what type of suit you need, what size do you need? Suits will run in different sizes depending on the brand, so you may have to choose a couple different sizes to start with. Once you try them on you will know what fits best.
-
Step 4
Something to consider when you can only find one suit out of ten that fist the best, is to buy more than one of that specific suit. You can almost always find the same suit in different colors.
-
Step 5
Now that you have a few suits that fit the best, it's time for shoes. It's hard to try on shoes to go with an outfit that you aren't currently wearing. Use your better judgment and remember if it doesn't work right after you get home, you can always exchange them!

Step 6
Now that you have shoes and a suit, it's time for accessories. It's always a wise choice to choose accessories that can go with almost anything. This way you do not have the worry of anything clashing together. Try to keep it simple. A necklace and some earrings can do more wonders than jewelry on every exposed part of your body.
