How to Set Preferences With 'My eBay'

From your "My eBay" page you can customize your personal settings for email notifications, selling options, searching, buying and more. You can set or change your preferences at any time and eBay will remember your current choice. Any time you make a change to any of your eBay preferences be sure to click on the save button to permanently save the change to your eBay account.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Log into your eBay account and go to your "My eBay" page.

  2. Step 2

    Click on the "Preferences" link under "My Account" in the column on the left side of the page.

  3. Step 3

    Choose "Notification Preferences" and then the edit option to indicate which actions you want eBay to email you notifications of.

  4. Step 4

    Select "Seller Preferences" to make changes to your item listing form, acceptable payments and buyer requirements.

  5. Step 5

    Set your general eBay preferences by choosing the edit button next to that category. In here you can set your preferences for searching, buying and the view that you want to come up first when you go to your "My eBay" page.

  6. Step 6

    Use your mouse to click "show" next to the "Member-to-Member Communication Preferences" if you want to add Skype to your auctions. This will allow other eBay members to instant message you or contact you with voice over the Internet from any of you eBay auction listings.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you choose to add Skype to your eBay auctions you will need to download and install the Skype application. The link to download from is found under the "Member-to-Member Communication Preferences" link.
