How to Propose With Poetry

You can propose to your sweetheart in many ways. People have tried all different ways such as on radio, on a microphone at a karaoke party, and even by a plane with a 'Will you Marry Me, Anna?" attached to it. So consider proposing with poetry. It is an excellent way to hit the heart strings of your true love and your lover can keep the poem forever.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Go to the library and read some poetry and start to get the feel for love poems. You can write free verse and put your own words into the poem, but it is still a good idea to get a feel for how poetry is written and structured.
Step2
Listen to music and listen to the lyrics. Notice that they are somewhat like poetry and sometimes they even rhyme. Get used to the flow of the words and how they work together to become romantic and emotional.
Step3
Write your first draft of poetry. Use feeling when doing so and don't forget to write your poetry straight from the heart. Comment on how lucky you are to have your loved one and how you want to be together forever.
Step4
Practice reading it to a friend. Usually a friend will give you the best feedback and hopefully completely honest. Ask your friend if it sounds true and emotional, as well as loving.
Step5
Find the right time and place to propose. It's recommended to propose to your loved one in a private place. When you have chosen the place you want to propose at and have found the right moment, then by all means pull out your poem and recite it to your love.
