Things You'll Need:
- Eggshells

- Glue
- Paper
- Easter designs

Step 1
Decide how you want to dye your eggshells. Clean and save eggshells from eggs you use in the kitchen or hard boil eggs to use for an Easter egg hunt. Buy a kit for dying Easter eggs and follow the instructions to make the dye. If you want, you can make your own dye by putting 20 to 40 drops of food coloring into ½ cup boiling water with 1 teaspoon of white vinegar.

Step 2
Dye the eggshells. The longer you leave the eggshell in the dye, the darker the color becomes. You can mix the dyes together to create different shades. If you dump all the dye into one container you can get a dark brown shade. Allow the dyed eggshells to dry completely before proceeding.

Step 3
Crush the eggshells. You need to remove the egg from the shell before you crush the eggshells. A variety of sizes adds character to the collage, so don't feel like you have to crush them all into tiny pieces. Children handle larger pieces easier.

Step 4
Pick an Easter design. You can make an Easter egg, a bunny or a chick. If you want to expand on the Easter theme, use spring designs like flowers, trees or grass. Once you have picked your design, glue and arrange the eggshells on a piece of construction paper.
