With the wide aisles and great selection of merchandise, it can be difficult to get in and out of Target without spending at least $100. Target is a great place to bargain shop if you know where to look. Here are some tips to finding the deals at Target.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Visit your local Target at a slow shopping time, such as a weekday morning or early afternoon when most people are at work, so it's easier to spot and peruse the discounted merchandise.

  2. Step 2

Head straight for the end caps. These are found at the end of most aisles and hold all the clearance merchandise. Also look for clearance aisles dedicated to marked down items, especially at the end of a season or holiday.

  3. Step 3

Look for red clearance price stickers. Discounted merchandise can be found in each and every Target department.

  4. Step 4

Hit the 50- to 75-percent-off rack in the clothing section. Each clothing department has racks full of heavily marked down clothing. Skip the regularly priced clothing and head straight for the clearance racks.

  5. Step 5

Buy an out-of-the-box item. Furniture and electronics that served as floor samples, were returned or are displayed without a box are often heavily marked down. These items can be purchased for more than half off.

  6. Step 6

Browse through the dollar bins near the store entrance. The items range in price from $1 to $5. Find everything from dish towels to candles.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure to hit Target the day after a major holiday. Christmas, Halloween and other holiday decorations are marked down. Keep in mind that discounts increase with time, but the selection diminishes.
