This photo necklace for Mother's Day is a simple craft project your younger children can complete practically by themselves. When they're done, mom has a treasured piece of jewelry with photos of her children to show off to all her friends.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Find a favorite picture of your child or children. Make a color copy of the image reducing the size so it fits inside a metal rimmed paper key tag.
Step2
Help your child get the photo cut to the right size so it fits inside the metal rim of the tag.
Step3
Cover the back of the photo with glue from a glue stick, and attach it to the inside of the tag.
Step4
Put a small about of glue on the bottom edge of the tag to add a small ribbon. Glitter can also be glued along the edges to make the tag look fancier.
Step5
Loop a long ribbon through the tag hole, and tie the ribbon together at the end so it forms the necklace.

Tips & Warnings

  • Key tags can be found at office supply stores or craft stores. Sometimes they are called play or marking tags.
  • Add several tags to one ribbon necklace, one for each child. This is a nice project that all your kids can do at one time.
  • Make sure the necklace ribbon is long enough to go over your mom's head, or make it so she can untie the ribbon and re-tie it when it is in place.
