Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Chose your outfits wisely. When you feel like you look good, you emit an air of confidence without even realizing it. Look for pieces that fit your body well and show off your best assets. Match accessories with subtle colors or textures in your clothes and shoes for a more put-together look. Also, dark solids that are well-tailored have many of the same slimming illusions as a tan.
Step2
Glam up your makeup. First and foremost, pick a foundation that matches the color your skin is, not the color you wish it was. A good foundation gives you a good base to apply the rest of your makeup. Look for products that bronze or highlight. Bronzers can give you the natural, healthy glow that you get from the sun. Highlighting sticks can be used under your brow bone, in the corners of your eyes and above your cheekbone to give your skin a dewy, hydrated look.
Step3
Brighten up the rest of your skin with lotions that have a little bit of sparkle. They won't make your skin look darker, but they will make it glimmer, which is the same effect most people are looking for in a tan. Exfoliate your skin while you're in the shower for an even healthier look.
Step4
Think positive, and don't compare yourself to others. When you're without a tan and find yourself jealous of other people's brown bodies, just remember they aren't going to look like that forever. In 10 years, you'll be the one that has the better skin because you didn't damage yours with the sun.
