Instructions

1
Scrape or rub away as much of the dried rubber cement as possible.
-
2
Put an absorbent pad under the stain if it's on a piece of cloth or other thin layer that can be moved. If you can't put a pad under, continue treating without it.
-
-
3
Cover the stain with a dry-cleaning solution. Put more solution on a second absorbent pad, and place the pad on top of the stain.
-
4
Remove the pads as they start to pick up the stain. Replace the bottom and top absorbent pads with new pads that have been moistened with the dry-cleaning solution.
-
5
Keep the stain very moist by adding more dry-cleaning solution to it each time the pads are replaced. Repeat this process several times.
-
6
Combine 1 part coconut oil and 8 parts dry-cleaning solution to make a dry spotter solution. Cover an absorbent pad with the dry spotter solution, and put over the stain for 5 minutes. Continue putting clean dry spotter absorbent pads on the stain until all is removed.
-
7
Flush the stained area with one more wash of dry-cleaning solution and let dry.
