There's a lot of April Fools pranks that can be done to a person's bed, but none compare to actually switching their bed. Pull an April Fools bedtime switch and make it appear like you have changed the victim's bed. This is an easy joke for parents to pull on their children to get them in the spirit of the tradition.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Wait until your kids are all sound asleep. Hid your video camera in hallway to capture their surprise. The kids can have fun watching it later.

  2. Step 2

Sneak quietly into their rooms. Most kids sleep so soundly that the quietly part is optional. While you're in one room, your partner should be in a different room doing the same thing.

  3. Step 3

Pick up you child and, carry him to the other kid's room. At the same time, your partner can carry that child to the other bedroom.

  4. Step 4

Tuck the kids in the wrong beds, and go to sleep knowing that in the morning you have started off their April Fools' Day right.

  5. Step 5

Prepare to use the recording device on your cell phone if you haven't hid a camera. Get up in the morning before them. Watch the confusion on their faces when they wake up in the wrong bed.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have more 3 or more kids just rotate them all to the next room working as a team with the help of your partner or someone else.
  • If one of the kids stirs a little or wakes up, tell them you are holding them because they are dreaming and you are putting them back to bed.
  • This April Fools joke works better for younger kids. If you try to move your older children, be prepared to get a back ache.
