During the second century, an Indian sage named Vatsyana wrote what is considered today possibly the most famous and most highly revered works on sex and sexual technique, the Kama Sutra. The varying positions and styles of the Kama Sutra can accommodate virtually any type of lover; however, some positions require more skill. The Kama Sutra Knot position and its variations require practice, mastery and great flexibility.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Work slowly to the Knot position, beginning with the "Yugmapada" or the "Foot Yoke." Sit with your knees spread wide and held tightly against your body, as close to your underarms as possible. Point your toes outwards, opening your yoni (vagina) for your lover. Your lover should come to you and enter you with his lingam (penis) while mirroring your difficult position, pushing his feet and knees against yours.

  2. Step 2

Vary Yugmapada slightly, preparing for the knot position, by extending both of your right legs out straight, keeping your lover's lingam inside of you. Press the feet of your bent legs against the bed to rock in the sexual congress of the Yugmapada position of the Kama Sutra.

  3. Step 3

Bend your knees again, draping your legs over your lover's own bent legs, holding hands between you in the simple Knot position.

  4. Step 4

Open your arms wide, both you and your lover, lifting your legs and pressing the palms of your feet into the crooks of one another's elbows. Wrap your arms inward, holding each others hands as your firmly hold one another's feet in your arms. Rock in sexual bliss in the Curving Knot position of the Kama Sutra.
