Yes, you can enjoy washing your floors. You just have to approach it with the right mindset. As a matter of fact, you can enjoy washing your floors so much that your family begs to help. You may even begin washing your floors several times a week just because it's fun.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Favorite CD (preferably something upbeat)
  • Pair of old sneakers
  • Two old towels
  • Spray bottle of cleaning fluid

Step1
Wear an old pair of sneakers. If you don't have old sneakers, put on new ones. This process will not damage your shoes.
Step2
Wrap the old towels around the bottom of your feet. Make sure you can pull the towel edges high enough so that you can either tuck them into the ankle of your sneakers or use the shoelaces to secure the towels around your feet. You don't want to stop washing the floor to re-affix your towels.
Step3
Put on your favorite music CD. The key to enjoyable floor washing is having the right music. If you don't have a favorite CD, turn your TV on to one of the music video stations. Select a station with upbeat dance music.
Step4
Pump up the volume. Play the music loud. Feel the rhythm.
Step5
Spray some of the cleaning fluid on the floor. Spray enough to saturate the floor enough to adequately clean it. If your floor is moderately dirty, spray a moderate amount. If your floor is very dirty, spray more. Once you start cleaning, you know how much you need to spray.
Step6
Start stepping. This is where you get to enjoy washing your floors. Take your two feet and start sliding them across the floor. Make up your own dance step. Find your groove. For hard-to-clean stains, apply more pressure using your toes until the stain is gone. Get your whole body into the groove.

Tips & Warnings

  • By using towels on your feet, you not only wash the floor, but you also dry it at the same time.
  • Involve your kids. The more, the merrier. The entire family can enjoy washing floors. Who knows, you may clean all of the floors in your house just by listening to a couple of songs.
  • Be cognizant of your neighbors. If you live in an apartment, you might want to use an iPod instead. You don't want to be the recipient of any disturbing-the-peace complaints.
