How to Enjoy Folding Clothes

Folding clothes is the one task that you can choose where, when and how you want to accomplish it. Unlike washing dishes, for instance, which must be washed where there is a water source, folding clothes can be done sitting in a comfortable living room chair or standing uncomfortably in a laundry room. The choice is yours.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Prepare your folding area. If you are about to fold clothes, select an area of the house that is relaxing and set it up for folding. Select a comfortable chair and make sure you have a table available to place the folded clothes on. Or, if you are standing, use a folding table that is adequate for your height. A table too low strains your lower back.
Step2
Select a distraction. Folding clothes is a mindless task. As a result, you can play music, watch TV or even talk on the telephone while folding. You not only get to enjoy folding clothes, you get to catch up on phone calls, your favorite TV show or enjoy your favorite music CD.
Step3
Take a deep breath. Part of the joy of folding clothes is the fresh smell. Whether you line-dry your clothes or use the dryer, freshly washed clothes have a refreshing smell. Enjoy the scent.
Step4
Choose an accompanying beverage. The trick to folding clothes is the beverage that accompanies the task. If you're folding in the morning, a nice hot cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate is a great compliment. On the other hand, if you're folding clothes in the evening after a long, hard day, a glass of wine makes the task more enjoyable.
