You may have one or several unused cosmetic bags in your home and are wondering what to do with them. Perhaps you have even considered throwing it into the trash, thinking you will never use it again. But think again; you can use that cosmetic bag for many other things than just the storage of makeup.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Glue gun
  • Gems
  • Beads
  • First-aid supplies
  • Travel-sized toiletries
  • Snacks
  • Pens and pencils
Step1
Use a hot glue gun and decorative gems, beads and ribbon to decorate your cosmetics bag. Glue your embellishments in a design of your choosing to turn your bag into a cute clutch purse.
Step2
Stock an old or unused cosmetic bag with first-aid supplies, such as adhesive bandages, gauze and scissors. Place it in your car to use as a travel first-aid kit.
Step3
Fill your bag with toiletries in travel-sized bottles. Keep the bag in your suitcase so that you will always have it ready when you travel.
Step4
Recycle your old bag by using it as a personal, travel snack tote for your child. Store snacks in it that can be opened easily while in the car.
Step5
Donate your old cosmetic bag to a shelter or a second-hand store that will sell it for you. Even though you may not want that bag anymore, someone else might.
Step6
Use your old cosmetics bag as a pouch for pencils or pens. You can either send it to school with your child or use it at home.
