Do you have more used baby-food jars than you know what to do with? Don't throw them out or recycle them quite yet. The handy little jars still have a useful role in keeping your home and garage organized. They can be put to good use for artists and crafters as well.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Make decorations for your next party with used baby-food jars. Fill each jar with jelly beans or a tiny candle and wrap a raffia bow around the rim. Put one on each placemat and let your guests take their candle home.
Step2
Create a wall organizer by nailing several jar lids on a board. Attach the board near your craft area, work bench or on the underside of a shelf. Fill the jars with screws, nails, washers, pins, or other tiny things you need to keep track of, and screw the full jars onto the lids.
Step3
Keep loose spices and herbs fresh in tightly sealed baby-food jars.
Step4
Store garden seeds in baby-food jars. Label the jars, or glue on a picture of the plant.
Step5
Let children make their own homemade butter with a clean, used baby-food jar. Fill the jar about half full with heavy cream, add a dash of salt, and let the child shake the jar until the cream turns into butter.
Step6
Organize your art room, sewing room or craft center with baby-food jars. They are great for buttons, beads, pins, snaps and other tiny craft supplies. Save small amounts of paint in baby-food jars, or use them for mixing colors.
