How to Make Peanut Butter Play Dough

Making peanut butter play dough is a fun way to spend a rainy afternoon, and it requires only a few basic ingredients that are probably already in your cupboard. Peanut butter play dough is fun to play with, delicious to eat, and easy enough for the kids to make it themselves with your assistance and supervision.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1 cup nonfat dry (powdered) milk
  • 1 cup honey
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Waxed paper
  • Spoon

    Peanut Butter Play Dough

  1. Step 1

    Mix the peanut butter and honey together with a spoon or clean hands in a large bowl.

  2. Step 2

    Add the powdered milk a little at a time until the mixture is the consistency of play dough.

  3. Step 3

    Make shapes with the play dough and have fun decorating it.

  4. Step 4

    Store any unused play dough in the refrigerator in a sealed container.

  6. Step 1

    Mix the peanut butter, oatmeal and powdered milk together with spoon or clean hands in a large bowl.

Tips & Warnings
  • Applesauce can be substituted for honey. Add about three tablespoons of applesauce, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough is the desired consistency.
