How to Make Emu Oil Lip Balm
Emu oil is full of natural, essential fatty acids that allow the oil to completely penetrate the skin and be absorbed rapidly. Emu oil lip balm will sooth and replenish chapped lips, and continued use will keep your lips moisturized and healthy. Things You'll Need
- 2 oz. emu oil
- 2 oz. almond oil
- 1 oz. beeswax pellets or shaved beeswax
- 2 oz. avocado oil
- 12 drops lavender essential oil
- 6 drops lime essential oil
- 4 drops tea tree oil
- Small containers or tubes
- 1 tsp. cocoa butter
- 1 tsp. beeswax
- 1 tsp. emu oil
- 1 tsp. honey
- 2 vitamin E capsules
- 2 empty tubes
Instructions

Melt the emu oil, almond oil and beeswax in a saucepan over low heat.

Let the mixture cool slightly, and stir in the avocado oil, almond oil, vitamin E and the essential oils.

Mix until completely blended.

Pour the lip balm into small containers or tubes and allow to solidify.
Emu OIl Lip Balm With Honey

Melt the cocoa butter and beeswax in a small saucepan over low heat.

Stir constantly until the beeswax is melted and remove the saucepan from the heat.

Add the emu oil and mix thoroughly.

Blend in the honey gradually as the mixture thickens.

Squeeze the contents of the vitamin E capsules into the mixture and stir until smooth.

Store the mixture in two small lip balm containers.

Tips & Warnings
To pour the mixture into lip balm containers, snip the end off of a paper, cone-shaped water cup. It makes a perfect, disposable funnel.
To add a hint of color to the emu oil lip gloss, melt a small chunk of lipstick with the oil and mix well.
