Things You'll Need

  • 2 oz. beeswax
  • 2 oz. emu oil
  • 4 oz. calendula oil
  • 2 oz. avocado oil
  • 1 oz. cocoa butter
  • 1 oz. shea butter
  • ½ oz. tea tree oil
  • A few drops lavender oil (optional)
  • Small containers.
  • 2 tbsp. emu Oil
  • 4 tbsp. coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa butter
  • 2 tbsp. beeswax
  • 19 drops jojoba oil
  • 15 drops lavender essential oil
  • 2 (2 oz.) containers

Instructions

  1. Gentle Emu Oil Salve

    • 1

      Melt the beeswax in a microwave oven.

    • 2

      Heat the emu oil, calendula oil, and avocado oil over low heat in a small saucepan.

      Add the cocoa butter and shea butter, and stir until completely blended.

    • 4

      Stir in the tea tree oil and the lavender essential oil if desired. Mix well.

      Fill the containers and allow the salve to set up.

    Soothing Emu Oil Skin Salve

      Melt the emu oil, cocoa butter, coconut oil and beeswax in a double boiler over low heat.

      Remove the mixture from the heat and allow it to cool slightly.

      Add the jojoba oil and lavender essential oil.

      Stir the mixture until it is thoroughly mixed.

    • 10

      Poor the emu oil salve into the clean containers. Let the mixture cool completely before closing the lid.
