How to Make Apple Bubble Bath

Homemade bubble baths ensure that your bath products are Earth-friendly and economical. Things You'll Need:

  • Distilled water
  • Large measuring cup with pour spout
  • Liquid castile soap (unscented)
  • Liquid glycerin
  • Green apple essential oil
  • Green food coloring (optional)
  • Clean plastic bottle with tight fitting lid
  1. Step 1

    Measure 4 cups of distilled water in a large measuring cup with a pour spout. Add 1 cup of unscented liquid castile soap to the measuring cup. Castile soap is the bubbling agent in your apple bubble bath, but is also a natural moisturizer made from 100 percent olive oil. Castile soap can be found in your local health food store in a variety of scents.

  2. Step 2

    Place 1 1/2 oz. of liquid glycerin to the measuring cup. Liquid glycerin in another natural moisturizer available in your local health food store. Not only will glycerin leave your skin silky smooth, it is also a fixative that will ensure your apple bubble bath retains its fruity aroma for as long as possible.

  3. Step 3

    Add five drops of green apple essential oil and five drops of green food coloring to the measuring cup to add the final fruity and colorful touches to your apple bubble bath.

  4. Step 4

    Stir the ingredients well and pour the apple bubble bath carefully into a clean plastic bottle with a tight fitting lid. To use, gently shake the bottle and pour approximately one quarter of the contents under hot running water. Soak and enjoy.
