How to Make Skin Softening Bubble Bath

Making your own bubble bath is economical and ensures that your bubble bath is environmentally friendly. Things You'll Need:

  • Dried chamomile
  • Bowl
  • Powdered milk
  • Coconut oil
  • Liquid castile soap (unscented)
  • Clean plastic bottle with tight fitting lid
  1. Step 1

    Boil 1/2 cup of water and remove from heat. Add 1/2 cup of dried chamomile to the water and cover the pot with a tight fitting lid. Allow the chamomile to steep for 20 minutes before straining the leaves from the water.

  2. Step 2

    Pour the chamomile water into a bowl and add 4 cups of powdered milk. Milk is naturally high in lactic acid, which soothes and softens dry, itchy skin. Milk will also help to moisturize while tightening wrinkles and refining pores.

  3. Step 3

    Add 1 oz. of coconut oil to the mixture. Coconut oil is a natural healing element perfect for sore, tired muscles or for those who suffer from arthritis. Coconut oil in not only a great smelling moisturizer, but it can also help to relieve painful inflammation and heal dry, cracking skin.

Castile soap can be found in a variety of scents in your local health food store.

  5. Step 5

    Mix the ingredients well and carefully pour your skin softening bubble bath into a clean plastic bottle with a tight fitting lid. Shake the bottle gently before using. To use, pour about half of the bottle under hot running water to enjoy a pleasant, healing soak.
