Instructions

    • 1

Find a simple pattern of the side view of a school bus. Try to find a bus pattern that has at least as many windows as your kids have pictures to display. Two or three photos are a good workable number.

    • 2

Gather pictures to display in the windows of the bus. Try to find head shot pictures of the same size.

    • 3

Trace the outline of the bus picture pattern onto the yellow craft foam. Also trace two wheel patterns on yellow craft foam. Cut these items out with scissors. Cut windows from the bus. An adult may need to help with this part of the project. Size the windows to accommodate the pictures you plan to display.

    • 4

Measure the length of the bus just below the windows and just above the windows. Cut two pieces of black twill tape to both lengths. Cut two pieces of yellow baby rickrack to the same length. Glue the rickrack on top of the black twill tape. Glue both combined pieces to the bus.

    • 5

Glue the flat skirting of the black piping to the black of the bus. Place it so the piping is all that shows on the front of the bus. To ease around corners, clip the skirting. Repeat this process to outline the wheels of the bus.

    • 6

Attach the wheels to the bus with glue. Glue a black button in the center of each wheel.

    • 7

Crop each photo to fit into the bus windows. Attach photos with double stick tape suitable for photo albums.

    • 8

Peel the backing from the peel and stick magnetic tape. Attach it to the back of the back to school picture frame. Or place the finished bus in a photo album.
