How to Change Page Properties Formatting in Microsoft FrontPage

The Page Properties Formatting tab in Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003 can be used to set the basic formatting for a page, including setting the background image, background and text colors, and the colors that will be displayed for the hyperlinks, visited hyperlinks and active hyperlinks. Read on to learn how to change page properties formatting in Microsoft FrontPage.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Click on "Start" in the lower left-hand corner of the desktop screen. Then select "All Programs," "Microsoft Office" and "Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003."

  2. Step 2

    Pick "File" on the menu bar and select "Properties" from the drop-down menu. Select the "Formatting" tab on the top of the Page Properties form.

  3. Step 3

    Choose from the "Background" or "Colors" options to make any changes as desired or needed.

  4. Step 4

    Hit "OK" to return to Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003 and the page that is under construction.

Tips & Warnings
  • The Formatting tab on the Page Properties form will allow you to set only a few basic settings for the page. If more settings are desired, HTML code must be used to insert them into the page.
  • When setting a background picture in the Formatting tab, keep in mind the size of the picture file. Don't use a picture that is too large or the page won't load smoothly. Also, an oversized picture will "tile" when the page is loaded and make the text on the page unreadable or have an adverse effect on the display of the page.
