Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Hang quotes in places where you will see them in the morning. The bathroom mirror or on top of your dresser can be good places to put your favorite quotes reminding you of all you have to be grateful for.
Step2
Form a habit of taking a few minutes and listing 10 things that you are grateful for each morning. These things can include everything from people in your life to your home or your health and your possessions. You can be thankful for lessons and opportunities, blessings and new ideas.
Step3
Carry a smooth stone or crystal in your bathrobe so that it can remind you to be grateful when you touch it in the morning. Move the stone to your pocket and continue with the grateful attitude throughout the day every time you put your hand in the pocket.
Step4
Play an uplifting CD or listen to a radio station. These sources will fill your head with thoughts of gratitude.
Step5
Start a gratitude journal and keep it near your bed. Reach for it when you get up or when you are dressing or making the bed and write about your gratitude. Writing often makes a feeling even more real and tangible.
