You'd be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn't love the look of healthy, glowing skin. The problem is not many individuals know how to achieve beautiful skin. Exfoliating helps to achieve glowing skin, and a sugar facial is an easy way to exfoliate. Read on to learn how to do a sugar facial.

Instructions

Step1
Decide whether or not you want to use white sugar or brown sugar.
Step2
Begin with a clean face. Use a mild facial cleanser and gently clean your face to remove any makeup.
Step3
Pat your face dry with a clean washcloth after using your choice of facial cleanser.
Step4
Apply a facial toner to remove any leftover traces of facial cleanser.
Step5
Add one tsp of white sugar or brown sugar to your facial cleanser and massage into your skin.
Step6
Continue massaging sugar and cleanser mixture into your skin in a circular motion taking care not to miss any parts of your face. Continue massaging for three to five minutes.
Step7
Leave the sugar mixture on your face for five to 10 minutes if you desire.
Step8
Rinse your skin well to remove all traces of sugar.
Step9
Follow rinsing with a splash of cold water to tighten your pores.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you have moderate or severe acne, a sugar facial might not be for you.
  • Avoid raw sugar. It is usually much harder and not as processed as traditional table sugar. The rough texture can irritate your skin.
  • Limit the number of times you do a sugar facial to about three times per week. If you do a sugar facial too often, you'll risk irritating your skin.
