4. Give credit to the other side of the argument. Don't belittle, or trash those who have argued against your position. Give them credit for having valid reasons for believing their side, and then present facts and evidence as to why your side of the argument is more valid.

5. Show an emotional side to the issue. A great way to be persuasive in a speech is to tug on the audience's heart strings. Write a speech that brings up the human angle of your argument.

6. Write a strong opening and closing. The two ends of a persuasive speech are the most important. You have to capture your audience at the beginning, and give them something to remember and think about at the end. Use relevant anecdotes, a call to action and short memorable bits of information that are important to your argument.
