Relieve Heat Rash Naturally

Heat rash is a bright red, painful rash that you get when sweat gets trapped in your skin instead of coming out of your pores. It is sometimes called "prickly heat" because it feels like someone is sticking needles into your flesh. You can treat heat rash with natural remedies. Read on to learn how to treat heat rash naturally.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Foods rich in essential fatty acid
  • 30c of Sol
  • 4 oz. of minced fresh root of yellow dock
  • 2 cups of water
  • Cornstarch
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • Vitamin C supplement
  1. Step 1

Take some flaxseed oil or eat salmon or spinach to increase your essential fatty acid intake. Eating foods rich in essential fatty acids will help you get over the heat rash in less time.

  2. Step 2

Take 30c of Sol morning, noon and night for three weeks to help heat rash heal more quickly. Take the Sol as soon as the prickling or the itching starts after obtaining a heat rash. Sol is a dietary vitamin supplement that can be obtained in health or natural food stores.

  3. Step 3

Boil 2 cups of water and add 4 oz. of minced fresh root of yellow dock. Strain the mixture after 10 minutes of boiling. Apply this to your heat rash a few times daily after washing the effected area.

  4. Step 4

Put cornstarch on the heat rash to absorb any moisture on the skin. This will also relieve the pain.

  5. Step 5

Fill your tub with lukewarm water and add 1 cup of baking soda to your bathwater. Soak the affected area in the bath for 30 to 60 minutes.

  6. Step 6

Take a vitamin C supplement every day, which will help to relieve the itch from the heat rash on your skin.
