How to Stock Tampon Vending Machines

Tampon vending machines are worthless if they are empty. Nothing is more frustrating and nerve racking than to need a tampon in a public place, not have one in your purse or pocket and the machine you are counting on is empty. Usually the owners of the vending machines are in charge of stocking the machines as they are not owned or the responsibility of the establishment where they are posted. Read on to learn more.

1. Read the directions or instructions for the vending machine that needs stocking, to see if there are any restrictions or suggestions on what types of tampons is best for that certain machine.

2. Decide if you want to stock the machine with tampons in the round cardboard wrapper, thin paper wrapper, or a small box with individual tampons in it.

3. Stock the vending machine with feminine pads also if your machine will sell those too. This will open up your market to others that may need just a light pad. Older women may not need a tampon but a pad may come in handy.

4. Look for individually wrapped tampons when filling the vending machine. No one wants a dusty or rusty tampon coming out of a machine. No matter how cheap they are.

5. Check the tampons that are already in the machine for tears in the paper or plastic wrapper, and discard those ones that are yucky.

6. Price your purchase of stock accordingly. You don't want to buy stock that will cost you and not make you any money. If the tampons cost you 75 cents a piece and your machine will only take 50 cents, pick a cheaper tampon to stock your machine with. Some machines will allow you to manipulate the price so read your directions.
