Rate: (0 Ratings)

Creating a pen pal connection is a favorite teacher activity in grade school. Many people keep their pen pals for years. Did you have a pen pal you would like to find again? Below are some tips to get you started with your search.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Step1
Gather your old letters from your pen pal.
Step2
Send a letter through the post office to the address that the pen pal used when you were children. With any luck, your pen pal's parents may still live at the address and can forward the letter.
Step3
Look up your pen pal's name on a people-finder website. See our Resources section below.
Step4
Post a message on a message board that specializes in reuniting pen pals.
Step5
Conduct an Internet search for message boards and forums that have to do with a hobby or favorite thing your pen pal had. Post a message in the board about who you are looking for.

Tips & Warnings

  • Women can be hard to find due to marriage or taking the husband's last name. People finder services, for a fee, can do a public record search that will include a marriage licence so that you can find out your pen pal's new married name.
