Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Attend as many gallery shows in the area as you can. Becoming in touch with the immediate art scene will help you make the necessary connections to get your sculpture shown.

  2. Step 2

Contact local auctioneers to see if they are open to the possibility of listing your sculpture. This can be a cost effective and quick way to sell your sculpture.

  3. Step 3

Campaign to have your sculpture be part of a local art exhibition. Even though showings do not guarantee that you will be able to sell your sculpture, it does create awareness of it.

  4. Step 4

Network in the appropriate art community. Art may be an expression of your sensitive side, but you should not forget that a great deal of it is a hard-nosed business.

  5. Step 5

Remain persistent in your quest to sell your sculpture. There is no reason to become discouraged by rejection when you consider how competitive the art world is.

  6. Step 6

Keep up your day job. Chucking everything in the name of ascetic pursuits can lead to bitterness and frustration that prevents you from creating future sculptures.
