The waves lapping the shore, the warm, tropical breezes, the hint of Latin music playing in the background--you don't get more romantic than Miami. Lovers wanting to gaze at each other over candlelight while enjoying delicious cuisine have plenty to choose from in this hot Floridian city. Here's how to find a romantic restaurant in Miami.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Snuggle over spaghetti. Miami has plenty of romantic Italian restaurants to choose from. Escopazzo and Casa Tua in Miami Beach, the aptly named Romeo's Cafe in Coral Gables and Renato's about an hour's drive north in Palm Beach are award-winning choices. Osteria del Teatro is another romantic choice, as is Spiga, both in Miami Beach.
Step2
Love the food--and each other. Haute cuisine is a specialty at Barton G and Talula in Miami Beach. Drive to Coral Gables for the Restaurant St. Michel. Discovering new tastes together in a gorgeous, contemporary atmosphere is a great way to spark a flame.
Step3
Go Parisian without taking a connecting flight to France. Miami is home to several romantic French restaurants including Palme D'Or in the Biltmore Hotel, Six Tables in Boca Raton and Tamara in Miami Beach.
Step4
Explore foreign cuisines together by choosing from Miami's exotic fare. Enjoy tapas at the Ruby Lounge and Restaurant in Miami Beach, exquisite sushi at Doraku or the culturally eclectic offerings of Azul.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be sure to make reservations in advance. Many of Miami's better-known restaurants are booked solid during peak travel times.
