With love in the air, Valentine's Day is a nice time to plan a long weekend getaway. Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Decide if you want to surprise your significant other or not with the long weekend Valentine's Day date. If you do not want to surprise her, then plan the long weekend together.
Step2
Call ahead to some local bed and breakfasts to find out about Valentine's Day specials that they have going on. Book a room that is most desirable to you and your mate. If you are surprising your significant other, choose a place that he has enjoyed before or a place that he hinted about in the past.
Step3
Research the activities that you and your mate could do while on your long weekend Valentine's Day date. Find out about local events going on that would be of interest to you both as a couple.
Step4
Plan something very romantic during your long weekend Valentine's Day date. You may consider getting a couple's massage at a nearby all inclusive salon, or you could even think about doing something adventurous like taking a hot-air balloon ride, if the weather allows.
Step5
Surprise your significant other with a romantic evening while on your long weekend Valentine's Day date. Set the mood with candles, music, and chocolate covered strawberries. Put a card on the bed that tells exactly how you feel about her.
