There are no age limits or medical checks for ultralight flying.
The FAA defines ultralights as aircraft with one seat, that weigh less than 254 pounds dry, that have a fuel tank of five gallons or less, that can attain a maximum speed of 55 knots and a stall speed of 24 knots.
Two-seater ultralights are considered planes by the FAA. They are only allowed to carry a passenger for training purposes.
