Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Assorted shells
  • Hot glue gun
  • Glue sticks
  • Paint
  • Fishing twine
  • Magic markers
  • Glitter
  1. Step 1

Lay out your scallop or clam-shaped seashells. Use a medium-size, fan-shaped shell for the body of the angel. These can vary in size depending on your intended use such as for the Christmas tree or for your kitchen window.

  2. Step 2

Glue a smaller cowrie shell for the angel's head. This can be any color you like but should accentuate the body of the angel and not overpower it by being too big. Hot glue works great to keep the shells together.

  3. Step 3

Fasten, with hot glue, a small cockleshell to serve as the angel's hat. If you can find a multicolored shell, this gives the added appearance of a formal bonnet.

  4. Step 4

Paint your angel's face after you glue on the bonnet. Try painting a face to match her desired mood. You might like to give your angel hair. You can find the hair in any craft store or store that sells doll making items.

  5. Step 5

Place a tiny amount of glue with some fishing twine on the angel's body in order to hold her in place.

  6. Step 6

Paint or color the front of your angel's dress to match the season. You can use acrylic paint, magic markers or crayons. Add glitter to give the angel a bit of pizazz.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can find hair for your angels by going to the local thrift stores and buying old Barbie dolls. You can also use the doll's head if you chose then the hair comes ready to go.
