Instructions

    • 1

Place a piece of 12-by-12-inch cardstock on the front and back covers of the binder so that they overlap the spine. Fold in corners and attach them to inside of the binder with glue.

    • 2

Trim cardstock to fit the spine and inside covers of the binder. Attach the cardstock to the binder with glue. Decorate the covers and spine with craft supplies and embellishments.

    • 3

Design a layout for each month. Label each page with the month's name. Use stickers or rubber stamps for the letters of each month or write the letters on decorative paper and then cut it into blocks or other shapes.

    • 4

Go through old calendars, phone books and scraps of paper to find monthly events to record. Include events like birthdays, holidays and appointments.

    • 5

Gather embellishments to write the event reminders on. Use photo turns, cut out blocks attached with brads or photo corners, tags and other items that will lie flat on the page. Write down the name of the event reminder on each item. Include some extras for events that have not yet been scheduled. Attach the embellishments to the page.

    • 6

Slide the finished pages into the page protectors and place them in the binder.
