How to Draw Comic Book Heroes
Comic books were the original source of many of modern days most prized and celebrated super heroes. Superman, Batman, The Green Lantern, Spiderman all spawned from the creative minds of comic book developers. However, maybe you want to draw your own comic book heroes and improve your drawing skills in the process. If so, follow these steps to create a comic book hero that could become the next Spiderman.

Take a survey of your favorite superheroes. Write down or sketch some of the qualities that your favorite superheroes possess.

Learn how to properly draw heroes; learn the musculature and the basics of drawing superhero costumes. Start with the hero's head and pay special attention to the eyes and hair, which should have a lustrous sparkle, especially if you are drawing traditional heroes.

Begin drawing the hero's body. Decide whether you want them to be traditionally muscular or give them a more mild manner look. Try drawing them in a hero's pose to help put your character into superhero perspective.

Write a biography of your hero, since it will help when trying to identify characteristics to emphasize. Pick a color scheme for your superhero and play around with different costume choices. Don't be bound by traditional cape, mask costume combinations.

Use a comic drawing tutorial book or simply draw different versions of your hero. Play around with your hero drawing and then make 5 or 6 different variations until you find one that feels right.
