Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
View the car of your choice as a convertible and as a hardtop. Sometimes seeing two cars side-by-side, either in person or online, can make your decision for you.
Step2
Drive a convertible. Some people think they want a convertible, but once they drive one they decide on a hardtop. However, once you drive a convertible, you will probably love the ride.
Step3
Consider your environment. Snowy climates are probably not the best environment for a soft top convertible, however if you are dead set on having the wind blow in your hair, consider other options.
Step4
Look into moon roofs on hard tops. Many vehicles offer moon roofs, which are not nearly the same as a full convertible, however they may satisfy convertible lovers living in risky weather environments.
Step5
Investigate convertible options. There are several cars that now offer either hard or soft top convertibles. Hardtop convertibles give the vehicle a slightly different look, however if the decision between convertible and hardtop is difficult, a hardtop convertible may be the answer.
